Lomah Rita Bisi is a passionate educator, scientist, and leader committed to empowering students and advancing technical education and public health through mentorship and scientific discovery. She serves as the Rector of Coastal Polytechnic, driving academic excellence and institutional growth.
Born in Erinje, Ondo State, and raised in Lagos, she earned her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Adekunle Ajasin University (2006–2010). Driven by a passion for drug discovery, she completed her M.Sc. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutics at the University of Lagos in 2015, focusing on pharmacognosy and medicinal plant therapeutics.
Her career spans pharmaceutical distribution at Phillips Pharmaceutical Company, teaching Biology during her NYSC service in Bayelsa State, and four years as a volunteer science educator under the Lagos State Government EKO Programme. Additionally, she trained students in environmental resource management and holds an HSE Level 3 Certification.
Renowned for her integrity, result-driven mindset, and resilience, Rita continues to advocate for science education, ethical research, and leadership development across higher education.
